there are good points to be made
where the not so simple subject of love is
concerned
though Sir Galahad knew no truer takers
than those of his own untempered time
with their ever so esteemed gentlemanly beliefs
still his ancient lessons belabored the purest
heart's capability to even if only most politely
spurn love's so cherished yet sweet like bloom
of the 'enchanted but from only afar' sort of
bliss
as all ultra sensitive romantic readers alike know
until his last dying day
he valiantly tried to perfect just this
though success came at an incredible cost
in the pages marking the end
all was indeed not lost
for he learned as he grew into his gentled
giant heart's fabled quest
just as he was destined
he knew
that all men when fighting for and in love
whether it be for thy love of country
or wanted wife
are able even if only to just visualize in and
of themselves their own dreams of love woven
as so ideal
that being of their profound most still too
often imperfect best
if Galahad had really lived
I believe this very notion, he himself
would have guessed
though love is rarely if ever truly perfect
still it is pure in its own indestructibly
mythical sense
man can not live on love alone
yet, without it
he possesses no spiritual defense.............
