TWICE AMID THE SILENCE

Folder:
JOURNAL #34

amid the silence

impatience stirs

leaking from the

emptiness

there in

rapture's pulse

a mere thready purr

eyes of ageless ache

how so sadly

you stare down

into your bottomless

memories

my heart doth drown

from a whistle on

the lonesome wind

to the call of a distant gall

a precipice of tears

falls steadily

to the ground

their construction

begins

a tell tale frown

for that one sweet  kiss

that may never come

by sight, touch, smell nor sound

alas, alas

amid the silence

what once felt like freedom

is now freedom bound................
