A LESSON FROM JASON

Folder:
JOURNAL#2

Have I told you lately that I'm emotionally dying

metaphysically speaking, I'm fantastically frying

I must be a real slow learner

but I've ascertained mid way that I'm an even

faster bridge burner

tonight he got me good

I knew one day he would

perhaps I should carry this home

maybe with me wherever I periodically roam

I'm not sure what to label this lesson

I'm not even sure if to another soul this

incident I'll be confessin'

furthermore at this statement I'm simply guessin'

I'll put a stop to this staid and tasteless litany

before the urge to cry non stop takes over in an

attempt to empty me

Beautiful poem. I like the unusual rhythm, and the frustrated voice - very effective! Great work!
