MIRROR TO MERCURY

JOURNAL #29

sweet paradox

in shadows grim

there is much too much

flaw on the horizon

of foolish whim

sweet reparte

you captivate gasps

and rain hailstorms of folly

down on all careful conversations

that elapse

though put Mirror to the Mercury

yourself

if you dare

and the evidence of intimacy melts

into free air

all too fast

for chat after all is just chat

so until tomorrow indeed gets here

she has no real past

just like us.....................

Author's Notes/Comments:

wrote this poem about how people when you meet them in a chat room can manage to unnaturally feel so close to you when they have just met you. to me, that is a tad unsettling. so, like I say in the poem until tomorrow indeed gets here she has no real past and that is the way it is in chat until one gets to know someone and really talks with them and finds out about their life they can not expect a person to really know them.
