apologies are but raindrops

scattered upon an ocean

with one form of water

such scatterment is not required

by the other

but the cycle must meet its obligations

I think of you and I now

just like those two waters

one so gently falling out of the sky's grace

and dignity

and the other so very much needing to be

fallen upon
