smothered by silence and disbelief

a free radical

with the heart of a hunter

conventional wisdom is

the might to remember

the thread of a spider dead

is a wand in the hand of a dead

witch

the country's swan song

our reaction to the event

identity slain by fiction

a mystery now in the mouth of the past

steam delivers the masterful portrait

parts of one's heart separate from the beat

leaving a trail of lasting impressions

on a world that could have been

better informed

peace should have been allowed to vote too
