warmth begets warmth
words from a pure heart
are words well worth remembering
every place from which we choose
to start
needs time, attention and the gentlest
tendering
it is though
of no real matter
to anyone but you or I
as long as we keep such
closeness we have blessedly
stumbled upon
warmly cloaked from prying eyes
not another living soul need
ever make such a worried try
to cast dark, ugly words upon flames
that have barely even kindled
my wishes for years yet to come
will all too fondly remember your great,
great patience and kindness to me
from the beginning and beyond somehow
I think we each have been just a dose
of what the other needed
in this deeply fractured moment
a bond deeper than virgin waters
cascading over cliffs with such
stunning grace
disrobes itself lovingly with such
class and charm
allowing us to see what it is in the
other we most needed to see
not just a man
not just a woman
in a sense neither really
if one truly thinks about it
but mostly two deeply attracting
spirits
out for a stroll in the garden of joy's
own gentle disquiet
looking
but without eyes
at another being most worthy
of one's precious emotional time
maybe that alone was and today is why
we feel so enormously drawn
I possess within me no harmful illusions
about this riveting cosmic secular us
that has so swiftly come about
such surprising spiritual union
fills a yet named need that surfaces
in the distorted aftermath of such endless
self doubt
though I'm loved by a few
almost as certainly as I am not
by a great many more
shoved into certain convictions of past
unhappy truths
by the more stupid things I've recently done
I stand now before you
patched up
but still a little bruised
while thankfully of this said abuse
you don't seem to so rigidly mind
this my friend
makes you for me
truly a gift
quite worthy
of even further
unwrapping.............
