mahogany, your warm banister
how you glide
through my hand
off to what new untroubled
place
does my mind settle to stand
the ageless ocean before me
staring back like one great
luminous blue eye
she knows each of my shuttering soul's
desires
yet she calls only to the peace in my mind
the Egyptians they knew it best
the grand scale virtues of their prized
amorous Nile
her waters soothingly placated the spirits
of the sick
while their bodies bathed and drank from her
never ending grace, all a smile
the oceans enigmatic gander bamboozles my
cachet of fantasies
I lose myself in the ebb and flow of her latest
tide
only to become yet just another add on to
further the far reaches of her calming
'Sea Stem'
knowing I'd leave happiest from this place
if right now I died................
