the never failing concept of any conceived plan
is always 'Its bound to work'
just who came up with this anyway
I ask you nicely
for it has to it such a petulant quirk
at the very idea I feel the need to give you
a magnificent Bill Murray smirk
I mean after all he always could play a convincing
and most lovable jerk
sometimes I stand behind myself and look over
my own shoulder and the things I do often seem
silly yet I still can feel quite uninvolved
and though circumstances are forever changing
the same issues remain unresolved
like why can't I learn more quickly to learn faster
from my previous mistakes
and how many spears does one have to throw in the bull
pen to get me to put on the brakes
I realize what I ( or others) have done to myself
is stupid and vow never to do it again
and do just that
absorb the hard lesson that the only real reality
is in Diamonds and then I grin
(but only to myself of course!)
