MY FORTUNE'S FAVOR

Folder:
JOURNAL#7

cartoonists I've been told like to stay close within

the lines

while I zee Poet Extraordinaire cover my creative canvas

with my word like designs

I try to lend color to my distinctive signature word form

why I can absorb day from the night and calm the very storm

if you could rhyme me a portrait of truth

I could in turn paint you a poem

perhaps like some loose knit haiku

if you use all your primary colors then I'd be forced

to follow suit

with a well versed emotion or two

thoughts feast upon yet fuel this ink blue pen

I know when to stop but I rarely say when

I believe any form of reign put on free self expression

is the foulest sin

this is my fortune's favor so don't be surprised

if I do it again............
