love's summons of intensity
very often
burns itself out
much too tragically
and those
who were once
so very much in love
are left
bewildered
by and with
scarred brittle emotions
that weave such a tenderly
tense human tapestry
one which is far from easily
recognizable anymore
we dread such damaging occurrences
individuals themselves who have
survived such formidable fires of
forced necessity
call this state of tremulous turmoil
'Baggaged Ash'
but wisely note
these same cindered and singed hearts
often ignite to flame again
so to thrive in another
altered but remarkably better idea
of love
as pain teaches one the value of his
heart
the soul so gently re-introduces him
to its beauty
and love's underestimated purity
binds the two to truth and purpose
forever.........................
