fashion is tender stock

streams that provide water

for no valid thirst

just the hyped illusion

of some overly fed media need

industry it is called

when in fact its more like

fraudulent holder of the silk purse

that belittles the sow's ear

to be so in awed by something

so unreal

starving models

touting clean healthy living

its in cahoots with ludicrous

skinny being the ideal

staring into the hollowed eyes

of women sick and faint with hunger

emaciated cheeks

bruised sunken eyes

giving the camera that vague

post holocaust stare

the models mentally don't even

seem to be there in the moment

amid the runway's light, music

and glare

but likely at the dinner table

in their minds

having for once

a good, solid life sustaining meal

fashion

hmmph

little more than a crude destructive

trend

playing with the already confused minds

of uncertain adolescent girls

under such vile subjugation

its at best a deserving industry

showering the country with shallow

signals of self worth...............
