challenged by choice

changed in tragedy

gasping in a shadowy shiver

blending the four sides to satire

witnesses to the raw secret

love yet made

the classic savage

the river of the unexpected course

all combined for

prescriptions of the shades of gray

the power of ponder

how she recreates a new space

something wealthy with seeds of the strange

among the turns

parallels sparkle

fiction begets a mimicked history

joyous waters soothed into beads

how we so love to hide in short grass

that we ourselves think is tall around us

accidental brilliance

we partake in momentarily

all steps we must step

breaths we must take

love in all its shades and phases

small pieces of self

beheld in a spotlight

of such unwavering spirit

and grace

for inner strength is our

shield against the

downward grind of the

harder edges of life............
