an all too brief moment

meeting an Irish poet

I was smitten from

the very first syllable

spoken

with eyes all a twinkle

though I

have never read his work

and will likely not hear

even a word of his class

a professor of poetry with

a voice like that

just to think

the angels I dare say

are jealous

will he I ever see again

how I wish the answer to that

could be

a Christmas present to mine eyes

for

joy to my world

it would indeed be................
