who

tell me

other than God*

marks our higher purpose's path

without him*

you know

it could very well be

quite a frenzied farce

or worse

nothing at all

but a heartless prankster's cruel

laugh

why, that would be the final straw

nearly nonsensical is it

the notion that is

especially to the believer

in its clear cut

unadorned

broader sense

it could be somewhat scary

for those who consciously choose

not to believe

after all

how can children

raised all of their entire young

lives in a darkened closet

be expected to truly understand

the concept of nature

if they themselves

not for even the briefest of

moments

recall just what it really feels like

to say.........

stroll bare footed

across a freshly mowed summer lawn

or how could they even begin to explain

the serene, gentle beauty of a mid

summer night's moon

say in a romantically inspired comparison

to the stunning arrival of a new day's dawn

such feat would be impossible to achieve

for some poor lifer in a closet that is

without the unending supply of one's true

faith and doubtless belief

yet without it

there are no corresponding mental pictures

to conjure up any comparative meaning

and that is how man views

the concept of Heaven

its so much more than any human could

ever know

just as

what would be the purpose for life

if there is no room set aside for

aspiration and dreaming

man sadly enough

would simply exist

in nothing more

than a too brief stay

upon a beautiful but violent

and unforgiving earth

such cold, scientific root for

man's evolution

would be such a sad state of human

affairs

if that were all that there was ever

to be to it

yet my soul informs me

that it is not

but how is it that so very many

men and women

starving to be loved

keep pushing on

as if immune to the pull of

God's great all knowing and all

giving love

my heart nearly breaks on behalf of

the ignorant

even as it encourages those who are

endlessly looking

I assure you

from one spirit to another

God is there

waiting for you

to sincerely seek him out

just reach out

and his great eternal Fatherly

love will find you

all he asks is

without seeing

know he is there

without requiring evidence

BELIEVE!

with every fiber of your heart

love all you come in contact with

and share your inner joy with the world

but most of all

when you are truly down on yourself

and at your worst

look up

to God

he'll make you feel better before you

even know it

and just living in the knowledge that

hes there and always has been and always

will be

gives indescribable comfort

to the soul......................
