the conversation

a sustained importance

between two people's shared experiences

strings of memorable music

orchestrated

by the unstoppable will of the wishful souls

involved

we had that yesterday

I was vibrant upbeat piano

to your bluesy classical violin

the rift was rigorous yet sweet to explore

a composition of sacred peace

so naturally in tune

few mistakes were altered in such

sensuous sculpting of notes

smiling

with some tender reflection now

I mentally begin to sway to the Cole Porter

melody we seemed to attain in our easy

reparte

a communicated rapport was writ

such unguarded momentum

t'was a glorious stampede

which danced our thoughts through many a

splendid subject matter

we circled the ball room

I feel quite closer to you now

your affection and so beloved lilted tone

my heart stumbled to know

my avid attention's hand placed its entire

self in yours

and for a sequestered amount of precious time

we were each other's retreat

that has to be friendship and beyond

on the level of the inexplicable
