in the other morning's britches

you will likely find

a poor but beat up old yet shiny

1958 dime

I found it on the floor the other day

and pocketed it quite quick

I don't know why I do these things

but mom says its wise and not sick

I believe her I suppose

for she is after all my mother

and a mother usually knows

my weaknesses and foibles

as well as the little quirks in my

daily routine

of such monstrously mother like

talent

I am indeed quite grown

but now a little sillier too

like that dime I found.............
