holding but

an illusion of love

meaning artist

in their overly decorated

hearts

a perfect surface

after all

is all that matters

a mere emblem of

sensuality's history

'The Geisha House'

once all male

quite twisted today

to imagine

the embodiment of

silence is virtue

true Geisha do not marry

subtle body language

is key

a conscience choice

held to the highest order of self

breathing pale bodies

works of live moving art

rented by the hour

as entertainers of men

swaddled and waddling

beneath the clouded misperception

of prostitution

while traditionally domestic

they were rather dowdy women

in their prime

with simple hair styles

and reserved adoration aplenty

they wooed from the

confines of their carefully constructed

serenity and demure, quiet composure

the air of the mysterious

their staunchest alley

to observe.....................
