at the heart of all conflict

often there stands some even small

prospect of peace

everything and nothing under even

the most neutral of circumstances

though continuously fails to wash

completely clean

for war takes on many diverse facets

of business as world militaries attempt

to project themselves more and more

to look like successful business men in

camouflage green

and on all faces of faithless hate

one finds not a single unsightly crease

where now lost have all the faces of the dead

been before seen

Korea

Afghanistan

Vietnam

even Grenada perhaps

just when in our recent history's sad making

did our collective memory elapse

I, myself can not quite yet even begin to grasp

this catered to country's reasoning for

its involvement and acceptance of The Gulf War

except for the overly silly excuse Bush threw at

us about oil and gasoline

tell me , does there dishonestly have to be more

has death and torture and misery not each

had its own day

have our representatives each lost his over

indulged political mind

to even begin to believe that such action was

a worthwhile and feasible thing

while Hussein lives Iraq still dies

and now for months Sarajevo's smoke and mass

murders  have started to settle into our living

room's daily via CNN's non stop reported

highlights horizons

just how long do we have before their numerous

cold, factual reports filter through and

galvanize the government into sending over there

yet another passel of fathers, brothers and young

sons

but just maybe we will be left alone and lucky

this time and not be forced to possibly die for

another 's cause

that has not a thing to do with our own rights,

guns, beliefs or state laws.............
