POET TO POET

Folder:
JOURNAL #22

such sweet floating

mutual tension

its delicious hot wire

so fierce

why, I feel its tremble

in my  hands

the satirist in me

longs to run out and play chase

with you in your own fantastic

thoughts

curiosity itself milks the

swiftly tapped keys

such handsome exchange

fuels the otherwise engaged mind

as the lighter side of darkness

grins wickedly at the fast

approaching equinox

'tis my burden to be so deep

just as

'tis my want's wish to share such

fiery ponder with this grand newness

of you

as such

you bend yourself so to share with me

some finer depth of your own

but note that the branch of your own

tentative interest

I will never let break

such knowledge warms the chirpy

nervous chitter chatter that I

helplessly allow to spill

over into your mind's ear

it takes a lot of careful practice

for one simply to be one's truest self

fearlessness must become one's

future readied cloak

and yet a much more habitual swirl of

attraction could not better hope to

trip me up on this so memorable day

the flame has struck the match of enthusiasm

why, one might even admit without guard

I feel just too good

to fall for any too obvious ploy

a nerve less gentling from the

trembling within

softly steps out

to waltz me a twelfth of the way

from my usual unharnessed self

in only this cross road of my life

I strongly feel

could I look up to see you standing

there finally

a man of true depth, prose and substance

with muse overlapping muse

I think we both could come to agree

we are tailor made gifts

earmarked for

the others pleasure

two complimentary parts

enigmatic but necessary

happen stance for the soul

or perhaps to you

I only speak in some wishful

suggestive riddle

well

either way

we both will soon enough know

its a given tangible

once time herself gets her chance

to play her own cards

in this enthralling game

we've joyously stumbled upon

so

un guard

so to parry

my dear Sir Poeteer

as the fair Lady Poetess

awaits the acknowledgments

of her gentleman's prize

a token of his very own

personally penned

grand affections

aptly titled

that of his very own..........
