in time
in an unexpected flash
through your eyes
I caress
a memory
come to erotic life
that of your amazingly
powerful body
swiftly taking mine
pleasure
once warm
like a luxurious coat
now
takes on
'The Contours Of A Knife'
I wonder why it is
perspective
seems so slight of hand
sawing who of us first
completely
in half........

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Was contemplating how something that once was so stunning and wonderful now if thought upon for too long can really devastate the one remembering. Memories that were so wonderful still can to so today but only to a very short point then they all too quickly morph into such pain that it's just easier to stop them in their tracks the moment they begin to come to me.
