TYING THE LATE SHOES OF SUMMER

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

I see the trees
so tall, beautiful
and green
shivering in the wind
their leafier tops
bowing towards
the splint like rail tracks
'Tying The Late Shoes Of Summer'
for soon like engine 7300
they shall be LEAVING too
smiles amid frowns galore.........

Author's Notes/Comments:

This one is an itty bitty but I so adored it. Was waiting at the chicken coop (a rail crossing) off the red neck's yaght club road ( a dirt path marked with that sign so we can find the darn rail crossing at the end of it)  some drunk genius obviously had a bright yellow sign posted by the road that leads you right down to the chicken coop (or chicken house both are equally used depends on who you ask) as I sat there eyeing empty rail tracks waiting and waiting I noticed the trees blowing across the rail tracks and they reminded me of a big tall man bending down to tie his shoes. This poem grew from that image in my head.
