The house is empty it stands alone
There no one there no one at home
Its windows shattered that once shone in the light
But now there is silence and only night
Its big oak doors once stood proud and clean
Lion door knockers shone and gleamed
The stairs had a bannister painted gold
But time has faded it to grey and old,
Cracks run down timber burned and scared
Children used to hide and play out in old courtyard
This house has stood the test of time,
Was used in the war it witnessed a terrible crime,
Saw people crying out in pain
It helps the blood flow down the drain
Its walls hold the hidden rooms
Stories told of hate and doom
Of no light but of misery and gloom,
This house now stands with explosives inside,
One big boom its secrets it will hide,
Soon this house will be no more,
Its ghosts will live on and that’s for sure.
