The Borinqueneers, brave and bold,
In tales of valor, their story's told,
From Puerto Rico's shores they came,
To fight for freedom, to earn their name.
The 65th Infantry, a proud brigade,
In the heat of battle, they were unafraid,
With courage and strength, they took their stand,
Defending liberty, their noble land.
Through jungles thick and mountains high,
Their spirits soared, they aimed for the sky,
In World War's fury, they carved their place,
With honor and pride, they faced each trace.
From Korea's fields to distant lands,
With rifles steady in their hands,
They marched together, side by side,
In unity strong, with hearts open wide.
The Borinqueneers, a legacy bright,
Their sacrifices, a beacon of light,
With stories of bravery, they inspire,
In the annals of history, they never tire.
So let us remember, with heads held high,
The heroes who answered the call to fly,
For the Borinqueneers and the 65th pride,
In the heart of Borinquen, they forever reside.
