She steps down the stairs,
face covered in tears,
this is the first time she has seen him in years,
she doesn’t recognize the face,
but the voice seems to be the same,
as he gently wipes the tears from her eyes,
it’s been seven years 3 months and 5 days,
since the day he left her little town,
he walked out that door and into the storm,
hoping to find a new home,
there was a great flash of light, and then that boy was gone,
forever and ever it seemed. And now what seems like a dream,
But finally it came, the summers first rain,
and there appeared jimmy once more,
arms open up wide, hearts aching inside,
for the kisses she missed all these years,
finally here the man of her dreams
more and more words can explain,
Still no reason, and still no time,
but its all that matters now that he’s in her arms once more,
she waited for what seemed like eternity,
but now it gets better and better as second passes,
she could never be happier,
Her dreams have come true,
her Knight in shining armor has finally returned.
