There was a time for deglet noor 

the 2010's 

now the medjool are the proper firmness

metal machines

industrial sorting equipment 

go figure

carried for thousands of years 

by us

supermarkets 

visited digitally 

reaching out through the electricity 

feed me

to squeeze your melons and grapefruits

practical sloth 

all the neutrinos that message extends thier lives

the weirdness of time

if one event causes another 

if I can trust my own ability to even view it

so much pride for such silly monkeys

a lot of effort I'm sure

a familiar refrain now: to what end
