I know the difference now, 

between an extended hand, 

and an olive branch

i know the difference between 

true ignorance and choosing

to keep your head in the sand.

i know the difference between 

words and actions that mean they are sorry

and crocodile tears

just until tomorrow. 

i know the difference between perfection

and meeting your own level 

of self satisfaction.

i know the diffference between wanting someone

and just wanting to be wanted

i know when i have been desired 

and when i have been hunted.

i know the diffrence between an intentional lie 

designed to hurt and decieve 

and the little white ones that good people's lips 

occasionally leave. 

i know the difference because i have lived it 

and good god 

what a journey it's been!
