Summer Flings

And breaking things,

Prank phone calls

And trips and falls,

Old car shows

And broken nose,

Diving boards

And wooden swords,

Bright sunsets

And red Corvettes,

New best friends

And vacations,

Fishing trips

And great back flips,

Chasing dogs

And splitting logs,

Grassy hills

And brand new skills,

Yoyo tricks

And breaking bricks,

Cheap clip ons

And dandelions,

These summer nights,

And summer days,

We spent our time,

In different ways.

Sure, we got hurt,

But, we had fun.

As we look back

At what we've done,

Let's focus on

The happy times.

Forget all that

Seemed otherwise.

Bad times were rough,

Can't deny that.

But our summer

Was not all bad.

It's pointless for

Us to be mad,

With all the good

Times that we had.
