I thought I'd found love, I guess I was wrong,

I endured all that pain, for just far too long.

She told me to wait, but then blew that scene,

Her sharp careless words would drive me insane.

It's now that I see, the sense in her ways,

For, when you're attatched, the hurt always stays.

I've wasted my pain if I've hurt no one else,

I'd live to show love, but hate is what sells.

'Love' is just a story, it's just a stupid tale,

Told by a stupid adult to pitch a stupid sale.

So easy to be old, life's just one big routine,

Just follow orders all day long, your feelings never seen.

No dreams, no goals, no life and no joy,

But a man with no hopes can be no one's toy.

Hold tight to your feelings and you can't be hurt,

No soul on this earth can kick you in the dirt.

Don't care 'bout her name, I'm gone once I'm done,

Just find a new girl with each setting sun.

Forget that whole 'friends' thing, it hurts way too much,

Like blood thirsty fiends, yet soft to the touch.

Just can't risk that now, no time for that 'fun',

Because right now, failure's not an option.

I fear that pain might do me in, so I will fight, you see.

I won't have people speaking in the past tense about me.

But, tonight as it is, I know if I die,

Nobody would miss me, nobody would cry.

Don't want to be hurt by getting too close,

And yet I still crave to be loved by those.

Just so sick of being alone, alone till my last breath.

Longing to be known, forgotten is worse than death.

I long to find this hated 'love',

Reluctantly searching for my Morning Dove.
