With You
I sit here as you work, I watch and smile.
I can’t believe this time finally came,
It seemed to be an impossible mile.
So many times, we would think of a plan,
to find a way that we’d be together.
Despite plans made our time never seemed right
one thing always came after another.
When the time came to finally meet you
I felt like I was fighting a bad war.
With all the problems that started to show
The destination of being with you
It was like heaven and made my heart soar.
Now that I am here it is strange to say.
I feel like my journey is near complete.
I am falling in love with all of you.
From the top of your head down to your feet.
The friendship we built up over the last year.
Seeming to grow more each day we pass through.
Here now with you there’s not a lot to say.
We used words to talk to show how we felt.
When we were still so many miles apart
But now we’re near and can hold each other,
With touch join together our hearts as one.
We will learn and grow and so much change make.
As we get closer we start to grow and become.
And yet a strange sense of comfort is there?
While I am spending my time next to you
This strange new feeling for me to find now.
One I do not quite fully comprehend.
But I am enjoying every moment.
Being with you my beautiful girlfriend.
Days will pass to months; time will fly away.
But no matter how long of time it is,
I’m sure to cherish each and every day.
And I will learn to show you so much more.
than you have already seen me do now.
If our hearts should together grow stronger
I will show you a world that is brand new.
If there’s such a time that should ever come
you start to doubt the love I have for you.
I want you to open this poem up.
and then beat me till I am black and blue.
Cause if that day should ever come around.
I’ll have failed you in ways never meant to.
And I never want you to feel that way.
because feeling unloved is far too bad.
Have no doubts my love as the days go on.
For no matter what our future brings us,
With you here I will only love you more.
