I set fire to the rain
Lit a match and watched it burn,
The world around me turns to ash.
The world I knew is no more
I move forward with much adore
I set fire to the rain, to free myself of this pain.
As it burns I look around
All my misery upon the ground
I look towards a new day
In so much I wont delay
Making the life I long awaited
To be bright and no longer hated
All because I lit that match
And set a blaze this stormy patch.
