Noises

Folder:
Myself

Outside you walk,

out into the dark,

strange sounds,

lurk about behind.

You take a step,

hearing noises,

above your head,

copying your steps.

Stopping to hear,

who is making,

that frightening,

chilly sound.

When really,

outside the hall,

no one is found,

only you alone.

Heart pounds,

breath shortens,

shivering fears,

appear inside you.

You count to 3,

run out scared,

and look above,

no one is found.
