A Twilight Friend
He placed each planet, moon and star
Just where it ought to be.
He separated day from night,
And then He thought of me.
He looked down through the ages,
And saw those summer eves.
He watched me sitting in the swing,
Alone, in a soft, warm breeze.
That's when I think He had to smile
With a twinkle in His eye,
Because I'm sure that it was then
He created the firefly.
