Emotional Storm Cold that numbs the body seals me inside tonight. I wish it could somehow numb my heart. Puffs of breath floated airborn as I gathered wood. I wish this inner pall could float away as easily. Man nor beast should be outside to fend this clime, But how I hope you'll face the gale to come to me. Your presence means the difference in imprisonment by the cold And retreat into the warmth of our love. Why, oh why do you delay? |
