If I could make it plain to all who wonder at my deeds,
I'd stress the pain, the loneliness and searing daily need.
There is no mystery in me or the things I say and do.
My accomplishments are many and my sorrows not a few.
I simply want to live each day in companionship and love,
Be one man's life-mate, sweetheart, so blessed by God above.
No hidden motive do I bear for all I've said and done.
My one desire is a loving home and a man to share what comes.
Solitary have I lived for much too long a time.
I wish a warm relationship, and the friend in you I find.
What matters if the world does not in essence comprehend.
I live my life with outstretched arms, embracing 'til the end.
Existence is not good enough for me to sacrifice,
The joy of living fully, or the thrill of being your wife.
Let all who would in doubt and fear then question what I do,
Remember I ask not advice nor trouble any of you.
