Into the wild
I wish to die in beds of foliage
Under a canopy of limbs and leaves
Beside the deer below the birds
Vine around bone as it weaves.
My vision bleeds into the rivers
For the forests I have grieved
I've longed to lie beside it
To escape this world of disease.
Under the looming stone giants
I feel it's majesty overhead
As the raven circle hovers above
My body laying lifeless and dead
The sky rains down around me
Autumnal leaves cover my corpse
My bones blend with winter snow
As nature ever runs it's course
And like a dead tree I'll be hollow
Like a river run dry I will crack
Like a mountain being topped I shall crumble
As I feel the earth beneath contract
