Roses are red, violets are blue, my grandpa has no hair, but he’s better than you. Caps and berets, they are all around my grandpa’s house. It can be winter, it can be summer, it can be anytime of the year, but it will always be something up there in his head. Grandpa loves sports so he has caps of everything, soccer, football, basketball, and baseball teams. And not only about Mexican teams, but also from all around the world. He has one very funny and he use it when he is working at the ranch, it’s one that has a little light in it, so he can work without having problems with the lights. Also he can be in a party, so things get a little more formal, that’s when he uses his famous berets. Sometimes people have one special cap, one special t-shirt, or one special garment that they always want to wear. In this case it’s different, he just have a lot of caps and wear them all. It’s very peculiar, because now it is like a collection instead of just part of his clothes. I would really like to know what does he thinks every morning to choose and wear one; if he has like a schedule or how does he do it, because he don’t repeat them in a while. I think that each cap has its own history, so probably it would be very interesting knowing each of them. Maybe some of them are gifts from people that appreciate him, maybe a memory from a trip, or maybe he just has them because of the good appearance. I don’t know if he spends more time or money earning all those caps. Everything happened when he started to lose his hair, he might felt insecure, but now he can’t go out without using one. It’s easy for everyone when Christmas or his birthday arrive, because they now know what he likes. His favorite one is not for nothing the one that says, “No Beer, No Work”. Now’s strange to see him without a cap or berets, it is part of him and part of his personality. But what you never see is his hairless head, unless you are something really special to him. He says he uses caps so their ideas don’t go out of his head.
