You have scaled the cliffs at Zion
At 4,000 feet above sea level your reflection was admired in the Emerald Pool
You have swayed in somnolence amidst the navigation
Through a maze of luck and her hypnotized victims
Racket stirred the murky air like pin ball wins inside the glass cabinet in play
Rhythm reached through to you from the Bellagio fountain blending with my pulse as it roused you
You have relished a brilliant sunrise, the radiance stalked the helpless shadows pouncing over canyons with it's insurmountable chronology
Illumination spread like an elastic sting ray swallowing the gulf between the Mojave and Colorado deserts
At dusk a panorama confluence of two worlds was lined with the silhouettes of joshua trees
Like wise men assembled, your audience
You have been shaken by the thunder's ricochet from red rock monument to sand stone cliff as though it were in play across billiards
The quaking atmosphere blinded the bats from their prey
From overhead the universe spread a quilt of rain
It was there in the vortex that a mystic placed her hand on you and described your gleaming aura
As I treasure you now from this enormous distance
As you display pirouettes before a cascade of melody and water jets
I know that you feel far away
But the distance between you and me
Is only half of the distance between Zion and the sea
