From our days, wide and vast

Coming and going as waves upon sea

Let us now call to them

And then in their company pause

For a little precious time

And with them cast praises

On a great soul among men



It came, not by chance

Nor by swings of strange capsules

Your life, all glow

Nature's excellent peice

Of inner beauties, good and pure

Of goodness, full and packed

But by casts divine

And punctilious weaves of fate

Do you stand, full archetype



Archetype! your name is sweet

Deighty's strength empowered

In which you, from time walked

And now still walk

Godwin and God's friend

Father above all
