The world you knew is dead and gone,
as the heavens lie far beyond.
Shed a tear for those who passed
and within your soul find peace at last.
Hurt no more and grief no longer,
for the light beckons over yonder.
Your body numb, the pain is dead,
but the lonely life you must dread
The world did die and you did live,but
you need not know what to give.
Put your mind in the future and your heart in tomorrow,
for there are no lessons you can borrow.
Your wife might be gone, but your world is not done,
because for you, life has just begun.
