Ooooh and I've never seen this before
A second chance for a heart to beat once more
You choose your part
And the stay the same
Your heart is your pawn
in your own game
One day you will find what has been missing for so many years
Hearts made out stone
Soften at the smallest of tears
Oh dear capulet
Are you dead
Did you taste the poison
Did you taste the poison on my lips
Do you wish to be with me
And take the stars
Do you wish to be with me
And rule over my heart
Ooooh and I've never seen this before
A second chance for a heart to beat once more
You choose your part
And the stay the same
Your heart is your pawn
in your own game
Oh dear capulet
Destined to be together
Never to be apart
Do you taste the poison
Oooooh
Do you taste the poison on my lips
do you want to live like a capulet
Do you want to take in that last breath
Do you want to live like a capulet
You, me, the stars and no regrets
Lovely piece, I being a Shakespeare lover truly enjoyed.......
the metaphor but as I was reading it, the imp in me wanted to reply I'd rather be a Montague just to be sly. I loved the cadence of it and the careful repetition of it. I've read like 75 or so of the most recent posted poems and this one really stood out. Thanks for sharing... Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen
