Courage,

To do what is right.

To never falter.

To always fight.



Stand against the crowd.

Be one in a sea of conformity.

Be heard over the noise,

Be yourself, and no one else.



Courage to tell truth.

Stop joking around it,

It only hurts you.



Courage to be the best you can be.

Courage to lead the fight.

Courage to be you tonight.



How hard it is,

To stand there taking the punches.



Courage to apologize,

One joke that gets out of hand.

Everyone that was once your friend,

Distances yourself from the fight.

Thought they’d try to help,

They just turn there backs and walk away.



But I did what was right,

I ended the fight.

I said what had to be said,

And everything is better now.



Courage is simple these days,

It's to be yourself,

And not what everyone else wants you to be.
