Losing you has had such a profound effect on me
It's changed the face of everyday life
It has changed what type of person I am
What type of friend I am
What type of woman I am
I love now, whole heartedly.
Knowing that today is fleeting.
That tomorrow is not a promise.
I try to take in everything.
Death ends a life, but not a relationship.
I do not have you psychically, but I have my memories
And I still talk to you the same as before.
I promise, I will never close the door
To two worlds that now have seperated
A love, a friendship that I thought couldnt end.
It is a moment to moment struggle just to appreciate
That nothing earthly is forever.
