I saw your hatred, on a hand-held sign
I heard you shout murder as a woman walked by
Outside the clinic, where you stand in your lines
To abuse girls in situations
Where they didn’t want the child.
And I laugh, I laugh because I cannot believe
That you live a life, that’s pure or ideal.
And you can talk about god,
But he will not hide the facts.
He should tell you sometime
That the world still isn’t flat.
You see jezebel doesn’t exist anymore.
She’s just another young girl walking through a clinic door
And you can beat her with the book
You can burn her at the stake.
But that doesn’t mean you’re free of mistake
So I am pro-choice because I dare to choose.
I dare to decide what I keep and what i loose.
This is my life, my body and my mind
And this is me exercising freedom of right.
Hey, long time no write! I'm glad to see I don't stand alone in this cause. Being a male liberal feminist, it's hard when people try to justify anti-abortion with religion, especially blind, bigotry of religion. People often disregard the facts and circumstances women have in terms of abortion never listening to them at all. Subjective thoughts? Failure to listen their voice? As always. And thus poisonous ignorance and the hate cycle continues. Besides, he who does not understand his opponent's arguments completely does not understand his own.
True, I think women should have the latitude to decide for themselves, entirely, if they should keep the child or not.
Sorry if I droned long enough. Dare to believe and exercise choice; never accomadate to society's negative interpretations of one's freedom.
