These days if somebody wants to walk out of my life

I will get up and hold the door open for them ,

And I don't answer to your,

4am phone calls no more

I have better thing's to be doing,

like sleeping,

like dreaming

Of a life far far away from here.

These days if somebody wants to lie or cheat,

I will say okay baby, then you're not for me,

And I don't respond to your

Name calling, cat-calling,

I have better thing's to be doing

Like listening to the sound

Of the laughter of my friends,

The softness of my mother,

The compliments of my lover,

These days if somebody wants to ignore me,

I will say that's alright and I'll let them be,

And I don't respond to your

Mind games, or player tricks,

I have better things to be doing,

Like living my life just the way that I want to

Not answering to nobody unless I want to,

And thats why I,

Don't stress no more'.
