It should offend you
As though it were your very own
Sister, brother, father, mother,
Because it is designed to-
Outrage, and heart break
And create
An endless sea of tears
And a towering wall of fear
Wherein nobody dare move
Beyond their social restraints
Or cultural face
Therein lies it's power.
So instead, let's hold our neighbour
A little bit tighter,
A little bit closer,
And not shun eachother
Or deny eachother's choices,
But love a little stronger,
And support eachothers voices.
