The upper hand feels great but strange

Cause I never thought i'd have it ....

I never thought i'd get over you ,

I thought when hope came close-

You'd grab it.

And make me out to be so sad

And crazy, ugly, uselss, bad.

Instead you got so drunk that you

Could only lay

With your head in your hand

The upper hand came when I thought

I'd always be in chains with you,

The upper hand came when I caught

You looking over your eyes so blue 

Catching me

Just catching you

In all those previous

Little lies-

Like a bee in a flower boy.

Like a spider with a fly.
