Several years of my life now down the drain

Wish my mouth had never framed your name.

Wish my eyes had never seen your face

Then maybe I’d still appreciate the rain

Feels so good to take back my life

Feels so good to know my own mind

Feels so good, to say that I’m right

You took everything I had,

To get it back I had to fight.

Now several years of my life lay ahead

No longer do I hurt myself, by entering your bed

No longer do I let your words get inside my head

 Cause now I choose to love myself instead.
