I worship Jesus, not only because He is great and most worthy of praise,

But because He died on the cross for me.

I worship Jesus because He was rejected

And spit on and cursed and shamed

All because of me.

I worship Jesus because He is the Son of God

And although I was still a sinner,

He died in my place so that I wouldn't have to,

And so that I could inherit eternal life with Him

I worship Him because He never gave up on me

when I told Him to leave me alone… and He still loved me

even though I hated Him and wanted nothing to do with Him.

I worship Him because He sacrificed His life just so He could be with me

And call me His friend.

I worship Jesus because He loves me unconditionally

And won't ever hold a grudge against me.

I worship Jesus because He endured God's wrath

So I wouldn't have to, and He will never leave me nor forsake me.

I worship Jesus because He is faithful, even when I'm not

And even when the world passes me by, He's got his eye on me.

I worship Jesus because He bridged the gap between

My sinfulness and an all Holy God, I worship Him because

He created a way for me to come home.

Thank You, Jesus for your selfless love

And your compassion on all you have made.
