As I lay across the ground

I can hear distant voices

Then everything starts to fade

I can't see or feel anything now

I scream out into the darkness

I can hear people all around me

They are screaming "Call 911"

I hear someone say "It's going to be ok"

They ask me "What's your name child"

But I can't seem to remember anything

I start getting really scared

I hear a siren in the background

And someone saying "Hurry I think she's fading"

Then a comforting voice says

"You were hit by a drunk driver"

They say that it will all be ok soon

Someone in the distance says "Get her parents I think we're losing her"

As I start fading away

I hear a faint voice "CLEAR!!"

I know that I'm going to die

So I cry out in my faint voice

"Please Sir, can you tell my mom something?"

He says "You can tell her you'll make it"

I told him to tell you that I love you

I told him to tell you I'm sorry

I told him to tell you not to worry

I told him to tell you it's ok

I told him to tell you that it doesn't hurt

I told him to make sure that you would be okay
